Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery is a Buddhist monastery located in the Punakha District of Bhutan. It was built in 2009 and is one of the newest and largest nunneries in Bhutan.
The nunnery is situated on a hilltop, overlooking the Punakha valley and the Wangduephodrang valley. It is a stunning location, with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The nunnery is also known for its beautiful architecture, which combines traditional Bhutanese and modern elements.
Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery is home to around 120 nuns, who practice Buddhism and engage in daily prayers and rituals. The nunnery also offers retreats and meditation programs for visitors, as well as classes in traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts.
In addition to its spiritual and educational offerings, the nunnery is also a popular tourist destination. Visitors can explore the grounds and buildings, admire the views, and learn about Bhutanese culture and history.
