Rigsum Gonpo, also known as Meri Puensum or Rigsum Gonpo, consists of three towering identical mountains in Haa, Bhutan. These mountains symbolize three Bodhisattvas: Avalokiteshvara (Chenresig), the Buddha of compassion; Manjushri (Jampelyang), the Buddha of wisdom and knowledge; and Vajrapani (Chana Dorji), the Buddha of power and victory. Remarkably, all three mountains are of the same size.
The people of Haa hold these mountains in high regard, considering them as three sacred peaks and believing that they serve as protective deities for the Haa valley. These majestic hills are among the finest examples of identical mountains in Bhutan, captivating visitors with their beauty and spiritual significance.
